Criniti’s Southern Italian Cuisine is well and truly Sydney’s iconic Italian hot spot. Originally founded to afford Sydney siders the opportunity to experience authentic Italian cuisine in an restaurant environment.
Criniti's southern Italian cuisine was first established in Parramatta’s famous eat street in early 2003 by an inspired husband and wife team. They were driven by a passion for fine quality food and cultivated success.
Their yearning and hard driven aspirations developed dramatically over the years, which resulted in a popular spot amongst the locals. It didn’t take long for the news to spread south, east and north of the boarder. Patrons travelled from all parts of Sydney to see what all “the fuss” was about.
“The fuss” was a 90 seater restaurant which had an endless queue of patrons waiting to be seated even on an average night. It was a restaurant implementing rustic, vintage and contemporary interiors without the common “sleek” design. The interior walls consisted of memorabilia of famous Italian sporting heroes, movie stars, musicians and the infamous “Wall of Gangsta’s”, which included the likes of John Gotti to Alfonzo Alcapone.
In early 2007 due to the high demand the Parramatta location was restructured to allow for more seating. The result, an updated 200 seater with the same concept and interior design Criniti’s had become famous for, without the compromise of high quality food and exceptional service.
Criniti’s Southern Italian Cuisine had continued to grow yearly. In August of 2009 it opened their doors in Sydney’s east with an immaculate location in the world famous Harbourside Shopping Centre, fast becoming the pinnacle restaurant of Sydney’s famous Darling Harbour.
The Darling Harbour location boasts exceptional Harbour views and contains the same rustic, vintage and contemporary interior. A larger twin of the original, Criniti’s Darling Harbours seats up to 480 patrons and sits smugly at the centre of the Harbour, overlooking Sydney’s famous city skyline and of course Darling Harbour. With breathtaking views and ample open air terrace seating this location will please most discerning locals and international diners.

Criniti’s Southern Italian Cuisine is more than pizza and pasta, Criniti’s specialises in mouth watering steaks, scrumptious seafood, risottos, chicken, veal, bbq ribs and choices for those who suffer from Coeliac disease. For the diners who are most likely to test their palate we serve Capretto, delicious graised baby goat or the Coniglio slow roasted baby rabbit.
Our pizza selection boasts over 55 choices, can’t choose? Why not have our famous 1 metre pizza, choose up to 3 varieties on the 1 metre and 2 varieties on the 0.5 metre. The only one of it’s kind in Sydney.
The dessert range is in a class of its own, only offering homemade traditional Italian creations, where you can find lightly textured Pannacotta and of course the Italian “pick me up”, Tiramisu. Our famous Crespelle sits on a menu must have, consisting of freshly cooked crepes stuffed with rich mascarpone cream, fresh bananas and strawberry, topped with chocolate fudge, nuts and vanilla gelato.
